Grand Canyon to Canada • 35 to 40 days
Run through the heart of the country on the Great Divide Roadtrip. From stark deserts to the soaring peaks of the Rockies, this trip takes you along the Continental Divide to see some of the most dramatic and diverse scenery in the US. A mile-deep canyon, windswept sandstone formations, boiling sulfuric pools, alpine glaciers - the sights along this trip are unrivaled.
SOUTH
GREAT DIVIDE
Wander among towering stone arches and hoodoos, wade in a winding river cutting through stone, and, of course, stand at the edge of an 18-mile wide canyon. The Arid Southwest Roadtrip takes you through terrain that seems it belongs on Mars.

To get you started, we’ll send you a swag bag for your trip — T-shirt, water bottle, and a daypack, all with designs to reflect your GAR. In addition, you’ll receive your roadmap, trail guides, and itinerary to read up and get psyched.
IN THE STORE
Any time before your trip, stop by your local REI and visit the dedicated GAR helpdesk. Our experts will show you the gear you’re getting, size and fit it all, and answer any questions you may have about the equipment or the trip.
